FAIRFIELD, CT (September 2, 2013) - The Sacred Heart University Athletic Communications Office announced the 2013 fall sports broadcast schedule to be featured on NEC Front Row, starting with Tuesday night's men's soccer match-up against NJIT. Tuesday night will kick-off a 32-event schedule featuring the football, men's and women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball programs this fall.
The Northeast Conference launched NEC Front Row at the start of the 2012 fall season. The online digital network with free multi-platform access features a rich set of content, including live events, on-demand video, highlight packages, coaches shows, features, original programming and access to league’s extensive digital library, all free of charge to users.
Sacred Heart fall sports slate will include all six home football games and all 11 women's volleyball home matches. In addition there will be five field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer games broadcast from Campus Field.
The football broadcast schedule gets underway on September 14th with the Pioneers against Lincoln. SHU home games with Chowan, Wagner, Central Connecticut, Monmouth and Duquesne along with road games at Bryant, Saint Francis U and Robert Morris will all be featured on Front Row.
SHU volleyball will have all 11 of their home matches featured starting this Friday and Saturday with the SHU Invitational against American, Maryland-Eastern Shore and Manhattan. Pioneer volleyball fans will be able to watch 17 matches featured on NEC Front Row in 2013 with road NEC matches at Bryant, CCSU, Robert Morris, Saint Francis U, LIU Brooklyn and St. Francis Brooklyn also available.
The field hockey team will be featured five times on Front Row with home games against La Salle, Fairfield, Lehigh, Robert Morris and Siena on the slate. The SHU men's and women's soccer teams will also make five appearances each on the service. The Pioneer men will open things up on Tuesday night against NJIT and will also see their NEC road games St. Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris featured. The SHU women will have their first broadcast when they host Columbia and will also see their NEC road games at Bryant, Wagner, Saint Francis U and Robert Morris featured.
