Mike Haase joined the Sacred Heart Athletic Communications department in January of 2013 with five years of experience in communications in his background.
Haase worked as an Athletic Communications Intern at Middle Tennessee State University during the fall 2012 semester, serving as the primary media contact for the Blue Raiders' volleyball and men's tennis teams. He also assisted with home football and basketball games.
Prior to Middle Tennesee, Haase was an Athletic Communications Assistant at Western Kentucky University from 2011-2012. At WKU, Haase was the media contact for Lady Toppers Soccer and Softball, as well as the secondary contact for women's basketball. He assisted media relations efforts for the WKU men's basketball team during its run to the 2012 Sun Belt Conference championship and the NCAA Tournament.
Haase began his career in sports information at Marist College, serving as Assistant Sports Information Director from 2007-2010. He served as the primary contact for 11 different sports, including the nationally-ranked Marist women's basketball teams as well as the women's lacrosse and water polo teams that won Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference titles during his tenure.
Among other duties, Haase helped with media relations for three women's basketball NCAA tournament appearances, two NCAA water polo tournaments, and the NCAA women's lacrosse tournament in 2010.
A 2007 graduate of Valparaiso University with a bachelor's degree in communications, Haase is originally from Addison, Ill.
