Storrs, CT - The Sacred Heart Equestrian team traveled up to Storrs, CT to compete in the University of Connecticut IHSA Hunt Seat Competition. The Pioneers finished seventh out of ten teams, notching 20 points. UCONN accumulated 43 points, taking home first place for the second straight weekend.
There were a few notable performances for the Pioneers. Sophomore Alison Brosky (Manhasset, NY) continues her impressive fall with her third first place finish this semester in the Intermediate Flat. Freshman Ally D'Amico (Cheshire, CT) finished fifth in the Open Flat. Senior Devan Beaulieu (Ludlow, MA) finished sixth in the Open Flat and third in the Open Fences. Sophomore Taylor Dibella (Holmdel, NJ) placed fourth in the Intermediate Flat. Freshman Katie Gray (Colchester, VT) placed second in the Novice Flat. Freshman Samantha Genise (Freehold, NJ) finished fifth in Open Fences. Senior Meagan Korolyshun (Derby, CT) placed second in the Intermediate Fences. Sophomore Courtney Sevigny (Thompson, CT) placed fourth in Intermediate Fences. Freshman Noelle Bianculli (Ramsey, NJ) took first in the Novice Fences. Freshman Natalie Cafasso (Derby, CT) placed third in the Novice Fences to round out the scoring for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers will be next in action on December 1st at the IHSA Western Mt. Holyoke College.
