Equestrian Wins Seven Individual Events While Claiming High Point Team In Both Shows

FAIRFIELD, Conn.- The Sacred Heart University Equestrian team wrapped up its first Western Doubleheader on Saturday as the team won seven events and was named the High Point team in both the morning and afternoon shows. The team returns to action tomorrow as they compete in the Hunt Seat at Trinity College.

Class 1 Open Horsemanship | Michelle Johnson and Cariann Johnson placed 1st and 2nd

Class 2 Advanced Horsemanship | Victoria Caputo placed 1st

Class 3 Novice Horsemanship | Emily Spellman placed 3rd

Class 4 Intermediate II Horsemanship | Gina Gramarossa and Brigitta Shepard placed 1st and 4th

Show Class 5 Intermediate II Horsemanship Section B | Valerie Stein placed 3rd

Show Class 7 Beginner Horsemanship | Rebecca Dion placed 1st

Class 9 Alumni Horsemanship | Adrianna Dattoli placed 3rd

Class 10 Reining | Michelle Johnson placed 3rd

 

SHU was the High Point Team with 30 points followed by UMASS with 23, UCONN + Mount Holyoke College tie for 17 and CCSU with 12 in the morning shows.
