Tedesco Named to Capitol One Academic All District Team

(Fairfield, CT) – Steve Tedesco (Mission Viejo, CA) was named to the Capitol One All District team, announced Friday, May 6, 2011.

Tedesco, a graduate senior centerfielder, was named to the District 1 University Division Second team.  At the time of his selection, Tedesco is hitting .327 with 27 runs as a key run-producer in the Pioneers' lineup.    He also maintains a 3.62 GPA in Teaching as a graduate student.

Tedesco is second all-time in SHU Baseball history with 162 runs in his career and is 13 away from the all-time record of 175.  The two-sport athlete also holds 11 receiving records for Sacred Heart University Football.
