(Bridgeport, CT) – The Rhode Island Rams scored twice in the ninth to beat the Sacred Heart Baseball team 7-5 in a back-and-forth non-conference game Wednesday afternoon at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

The Rams tied it in the fourth on RBI singles by Pat Fortunato and Tim Caputo. Once again, the Pioneers scored to take the lead in the fifth on an RBI single by Dave Boisture (Highland Mills, NY) to bring Murphy in on a close play at the plate for one his three runs on the day.
Chris Famiglietti tripled to tie the game in the seventh, then scored on an groundout by Jeff Roy to give URI a one-run lead in the seventh. The Pioneers tied the game in the eighth on an error when Perez bunted and pinch-runner Jonathan Servilla (Fairfield, CT) scurried around to score on a dropped throw at third.
