Sacred Heart Baseball Goes Down 10-5 to Wagner

(Staten Island, NY) – The Wagner Seahawks jumped to a 9-0 first inning lead, cruising to a 10-5 win behind a 20-hit attack over the Sacred Heart Baseball team Friday night in the opener of a four-game conference series.

Ian Miller, Jason Keel, Eddie Brown, Nick Dini, Nick Alfano, and Chris Smith all had three hits for Wagner. 

Dan Perez (Seymour, CT) drove in three runs, going 2-4 with a two-run single in the third.  Keaton Flint (Charlton, NY) went 2-5 with a run and an RBI.

Ryan Van Spronson earned the win, allowing five earned runs and 1 0 SHU hits in eight innings.

Sacred Heart looks to rebound Saturday in a doubleheader against Wagner beginning at 1:00 pm.
