High School: A graduate of Bellevue High School. Played three seasons of basketball for head coach Chris O’Connor. He led his team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots as a senior and guided his team to a second place finish in the Washington State Playoffs. He was named a team captain and MVP in 2011-12. He led his team to a second place finish in the Kingco League and led the league in rebounding and blocks. He averaged 12.5 points per game on his way to being named the Kingco Defensive Player of the Year as well as garnering all-conference first team honors in 2011-12. He was named to the Bothell Holiday Classic Tournament after leading his team to a second place finish. As a junior, he led his to a second place finish in the Washington State Championship while finishing with the second most blocks in the tournament. He lead his team to both the Kingco and Seaking Championship and was selected to play on both the Xfinity All-Star Challenge and the Franklin Quarker Tournament All-Star teams.
Personal: Born on June 23, 1994. He is the son of Dan and Randell Walton. He has two younger brothers, Jack and Drew Walton. He has declared as a business administration major as a freshman. His favorite team is the New York Knicks and his favorite basketball player is Dwight Howard. His favorite football player is Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks. His favorite book is Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. His two favorite movies are Gladiator and Joe Dirt. He enjoys watching South Park and Entourage. His favorie food is his mom’s homemade chicken enchiladas. Some of his hobbies include surfing and playing video games. If he could have diner with anyone in the world, alive or passed, it would be John Wooden.
