|Title:||Associate Head Coach - Offensive Coordinator/Off. Line|
Associate Head Coach Kevin Bolis is set to begin his seventh season on the sidelines at Sacred Heart University. This will be Bolis' third season as Sacred Heart's offensive coordinator and he will once again coach the Pioneer offensive linemen.
Under his guidance in 2010, the Pioneer offense set new season school records for yards passing (2,946) and first downs (232), and their 4,055 total yards was the third highest total in school history. In previous years, Bolis’ offensive line paved the way for 1,000 yard rushers in 2007 (Jason Payne) and 2008 (Evan Jones), and gave up only 7 sacks in 2008. He has mentored several All-Conference selections during his tenure, including offensive linemen Ryan Arroyo ’08, Justin Smith ’08 and Abel Malae ’09, as well as tight end Rich Rossi, who was Sacred Heart’s leading receiver in 2011, tallying 47 catches for 574 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Bolis came to Sacred Heart after spending the 2005 and 2006 seasons coaching the offensive line, tight ends and running backs at his alma mater, Colgate University. In 2005, he mentored 3rd Team All-American running back and ECAC “Rookie of the Year” Jordan Scott, who rushed for over 1300 yards and played a significant role in Colgate’s Patriot League championship season. While a player for the Raiders, Bolis was a four-year starter and two-time All-Conference selection, helping lead his team to two Patriot League titles and three NCAA Tournament berths.
After receiving his degree, he moved on to his first coaching stint at Canisius College (2001), then a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at Iowa State University (’02-’03) before spending the 2004 season coaching the offensive line and tight ends at Bryant University.
Kevin and his wife, Maria, live in Milford with their daughter Chloe.
