Men’s Hockey Adds Coltyn Hansen For 2013-14 Season

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart men's hockey head coach C.J. Marottolo announced on Tuesday that Coltyn Hansen has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Pioneers beginning in the 2013-14 season.

A forward from Delta, British Columbia, Hansen has played in the British Columbia Hockey League for the last two seasons. He currently leads the Prince George Spruce Kings in scoring this season with 37 points on 15 goals and 22 assists. Hansen's 15 tallies are tied for the team lead. In 100 career games in the BCHL, Hansen has scored 34 goals and recorded 39 assists.

"Coltyn is an explosive skater and an unbelievable competitor," said Marrotollo about Hansen. "His speed and tenacity are two traits that will be a welcome addition to our hockey team."

The Pioneers return to action this weekend with games on Friday, Feb. 1 and Saturday, Feb. 2 at Robert Morris. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
