FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Sacred Heart men's hockey seniors Eric Delong (Oakville, Man.) and Ben Ketchum (Greenwich, Conn.) were named to Atlantic Hockey's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for their efforts in leading the Pioneers to a 2-0-1 record last week.
Delong led Sacred Heart with six points and a +4 as the Pioneers earned their first two wins of the season. The senior captain had two assists and was a +3 in the Pioneers' 7-3 win over Holy Cross last Tuesday. He followed that up with a goal and two more assists in a 6-6 tie at Bentley last Friday night. Delong capped off the week with an assist in Sacred Heart's 3-1 win over the Falcons on Saturday night. He has four goals and eight assists in the month of February and leads Sacred Heart with 11 goals, 19 assists, and 30 points for the season.
Ketchum led the Pioneers with three goals last week against Holy Cross and Bentley. He had two goals and an assist in Sacred Heart's 7-3 win over Holy Cross last Tuesday. On Friday night, Ketchum added a goal and an assist in the Pioneers' 6-6 tie at Bentley. The senior has five goals and five assists in February, and is third on the team with eight goals and 10 assists this season.
Sacred Heart looks to extend its current unbeaten streak to four games tonight as they take on Holy Cross. Game time at the Hart Center in Worcester, Mass. Is 7 p.m.
