Matt King Named 2nd-Team All-New England By NEILA
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Senior midfielder Matt King (Brewster, N.Y.) has been named Second-Team All-New England by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. King was also named to the All-NEC First Team this postseason as well.
The senior led the Pioneers with 29 goals this season and was second on the team with 40 points. King ended the season scoring in 13 straight games, tallying 15 goals in the last five games in leading Sacred Heart to its first postseason appearance since 2001. He had 10 multi-goal games in 2013, scoring a career-high four goals in games against Wagner and Quinnipiac.
