Pioneers Lose to Butler, 13-12, in Double Overtime

BOCA RATON, FL (March 17, 2004) - The Sacred Heart men's lacrosse team lost in overtime for the second time this season, falling to Butler University, 13-12, in Boca Raton, FL. The Pioneers tied the game with just 22 seconds left in regulation off the stick of junior Christian Lynch (Northport, NY) but came up short in double overtime to fall to 0-4 on the year.
SHU was led by freshman Peter Greco (Hamburg, NY) who scored three goals with an assist for a team-high four points. Lynch finished with two goals while senior Ben Giamichael (Cortland, NY) and sophomore Matthew Robideau (Massena, NY) tallied two of their own.
Sophomore Adam Dzedzy (Glenmoore, PA) and freshman Kevin Kimball (Framingham, MA) passed out two assists apiece. Senior Jorge Bravo (Long Beach, NY) also had two points on a goal and an assist. Junior Blake Reardon (St. Michael, MN) was 12-of-28 on face-offs with six ground balls. Sophomore Thomas Hind (Farmingdale, NY) made 15 saves in the loss.
Sacred Heart returns to the field this Saturday, March 20th as they host Dartmouth at 1 pm.
