CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior midfielders Lusiano Dadario (East Haven, Conn.) and Sergio Freitas (Edison, N.J.) have been selected to represent the Sacred Heart University men's soccer team in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League All-Star Game.
Dadario and Freitas will be participating as members of the South-West Team. The game was played on Sunday November 28 on the campus of Harvard University at 1:00 pm.
Dadario played in all 19 games and served as a co-captian for the Pioneers in 2010. He totaled a career high eight points, on three goals and a pair of assists. Dadario netted the postseason clinching goal in a 2-0 victory over Bryant in SHU's home finale. Freitas started 12 games, while appearing in 16 games as a whole. Scored a pair of goals, including an overtime game winner against Long Island at the start of October.
The Pioneers experienced their most successful season at the Division I level after posting an 11-6-2 record. Sacred Heart finished second in the Northeast Conference with a 6-2-2 record before falling to Saint Francis (PA) in the NEC semi-finals, 2-1 in overtime.
