Men's Soccer Loses 1-0 at Quinnipiac

(Hamden, CT) – The Sacred Heart Men's Soccer team lost 1-0 to the Quinnipiac Bobcats Sunday afternoon on the road.

Tim Quigley made good on Quinnipiac's only shot on goal, scoring in the 17th minute with an assist from Robbie McLarney.

Bobcat goalkeeper Borja Angoita, on the other hand, stopped all six shots the Pioneers put on his net.  Marcello Castro (Panana, Brazil) took three shots for the Pioneers, who outshot the Bobcats 12-4 for the game.  Mahmoud Kafel (Fairfield, CT) landed two shots on goal.

Sacred Heart is now 5-5 overall and 1-2 in NEC play, and will look to rebound next Friday, October 12 at FDU at 7:00 pm.
