UMBC won the America East Championship last season. A four-game stretch of road contests wraps up with games at Yale on Sept. 5 and at Siena on Sept. 9. Sacred Heart opens the home portion of the schedule against Marist on Sept. 13 at Campus Field. The Pioneers scored two goals in the first 10 minutes against the Red Foxes last season and hung on for a 2-1 win.

After a road match on Sept. 17 against Rhode Island, Sacred Heart hosts Holy Cross on Saturday, Sept. 20 and Stony Brook on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The Pioneers head back out on the road on Sept. 27 to take on UMass Lowell, followed by a match on Oct. 1 at NJIT. The Pioneers open a three-match homestand on Saturday, Oct. 18 against Bryant. Sacred Heart then hosts Saint Francis U on Friday, Oct. 24 and Robert Morris on Sunday, Oct. 26. The Pioneers' first four conference opponents all reached the NEC Tournament in 2013. Sacred Heart wraps up the regular season with two out of three matches on the road. Sacred Heart closes the home slate on Tuesday, Nov. 4 against Columbia, then cap the season on Nov. 9 at Fairleigh Dickinson. The Pioneers shut out both LIU Brooklyn and FDU to cap the NEC season in 2013. The 2014 NEC Tournament will be held November 14 and 16.
