SHU Ends Season on High Note; Downs SFNY 4-0

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (April 21, 2012) - The Sacred Heart men's tennis team picked-up a 4-0 win over St. Francis (NY) in a Northeast Conference Championship consolation match Saturday afternoon.  The Pioneers close out the 2012 season with the win.

The Pioneers won the doubles point with wins at #2 and #3 and closed out the win earning singles wins at #1, #2 and #6 singles.

Senior Chadd Sullo (Orange, CT) picked up a pair of wins, winning a three-set battle at the top spot and teaming with sophomore Luka Bagi (Branford, CT) for a win at #2 doubles.  Sullo posted a 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 win over Danlahdi Robinson and earned an 8-4 win with Bagi over James Brennan-Tsang and Rafael Angobaldo.

Freshman Justin Pagan (Flushing, NY) and junior John Lopresti (Syosset, NY) earned the other two singles wins and teamed for an 8-0 win at #3 doubles over Martin Grunin and Daniel Gonzalez.  Pagan won at #2 singles 6-2 and 6-1 over Brennan-Tsang.  Lopresti was a 6-2 and 6-0 winner at #6 singles over Angobaldo.
