Matthew Cook completed his fifth year serving as the assistant coach of men's and women's tennis program in 2015-16.
Before becoming assistant coach, Cook played three years at Sacred Heart, where he was named team captain his senior season and helped lead SHU to its first conference tournament in school history in 2011.
In addition to coaching, Cook recently completed his MBA with a focus in Sport Management at the University of New Haven. He also serves as a marketing director for the Adidas Tennis Camp in Fairfield, CT.
Prior to enrolling at Sacred Heart Cook played at Jonathan Law High School, where during his junior and senior year, he was an All-Conference Selection and was awarded the team MVP.
- In his first year as an assistant in 2012, he helped lead the men's program to an undefeated record in the regular season of the Northeast Conference, as the Pioneers would go on to capture their second consecutive conference tournament title
- A total of five Pioneers have received All-NEC accolades during his tenure
