Boston, MA -- Sacred Heart Men's Track & Field competed in the Boston University Multi-Team Meet against Boston University, UMass Lowell and Boston College.
After winning the 60m dash at last week's meet, sophomore Quaheem Dufane took the title once again in the event. In the finals, he cross the line in 7.00 seconds, which is a New England qualifying time. Dufane currently ranks 3rd in the NEC in the event after crossing the line in 6.98 seconds at the Yale Invite.
Christian Turner won the weight throw with a mark just shy of his personal best. His best throw of the day was 15.11m (50'6 ft). Turner ranks 4th in the NEC in both the weight throw and the shot put.
In the 200 meters, Joshua Beloff finished in a season best and New England qualifying time of 22.28 seconds. Beloff currently ranks 5th in the event in the NEC.
Sebastian Pierre made his season debut in the 400m and finished 2nd, in a New England qualifying time of 49.79. The time is 2nd this season amongst NEC competition.
In the 3000m, Timothy Loehner set a season best time of 8:50.96.
Both Conrad Flores and Reid Chemidlin set season best marks in the high jump, both clearing 1.84m (6'0.5 ft). In the pole vault, Thomas Yavorka and Giuseppe DeLucia cleared their best heights of the season, vaulting 4.25m (13'11.25 ft). The mark is good for the 4th best height in the NEC.
