Men's Volleyball Falls in Three to Endicott

FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart men's volleyball team won the first two sets against visiting Endicott College Friday night, but the Gulls stormed back to take the next three - including a tight 15-13 decision in the deciding game - to defeat the Pioneers 3-2 (29-31, 20-30, 30-27, 30-25, 15-13).

A.J. Witkofsky was a terror at the net for the Gulls, now 8-4. He had a match-high 24 kills and hit an impressive .412. He also had seven total blocks to go along with 12 digs.

Senior Kalani Efstathiou led the Pioneers with 23. Craig Harvey had 11 and Tim Sadowski ten. Mike Komlanc had another strong defensive game for the Pioneers with ten total blocks.

The loss dropped Sacred Heart to 3-5 this season. The Pioneers will look to bounce back against Hunter College tomorrow night in the Pitt Center at 7:30 p.m.
