Fairfield, CT – With about a month left until the start the season, the Sacred Heart wrestling team decided to switch it up a bit and take their practice to the great outdoors. Head Coach Andy Lausier and the rest of the squad held a special training session outside dubbed "Practice on the Patio", held on the patio outside of 63's dining hall on campus.
"The "Practice on the Patio" was designed to introduce the new era of SHU Wrestling and our brand, The Pioneers Way to the Sacred Heart University Community. Wrestling mats in the center of campus, practice under the sun, and a DJ playing music generated a lot of interest, and I am so pleased with the support we received. It was also a special experience for our student athletes, who had the opportunity to showcase their work ethic, talent, and passion," Coach Lausier commented.
SHU wrestling begins their season at the Binghamton Open on November 10th.
