Women's Basketball to Take On St. Joe's Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Storyline...The Pioneers are 4-0 for the first time in 33 years going into Saturday's game. With a win over St. Joseph's for the first time in history. They are coming off a 78-51 win over Colgate that was capped off by a 21-2 offensive surge. The Hawks battled Tuesday night, but fell to No. 8 Maryland 94-71.
The Series...The teams have only met once before; last year in Fairfield. St. Joseph's came out victorious, defeating the Pioneers 67-49. It was a close match-up with the Pioneers only trailing by three at the half, but the Hawks would go on an offensive attack to pick up the win.
Scouting the Hawks... St. Joseph's is coming off a loss to No. 8 Maryland Tuesday night. The 2-3 Hawks played a close game, but could not come out on top. Leading scorers Ashley Prim and Ashley Robinson combine for an average of 21.8 per game. The team as a whole, averages 70.2 points per game, while opponents have a 69.8 average.
