Preseason WNIT... The event features a three-game guarantee format. All games, including the semifinals and championship, are hosted by participating schools at their home facility. The initial round of the event involves eight sites hosted by par- ticipating institutions. The winner's bracket looks identical to past Preseason tourna- ments. Teams are selected for the Preseason WNIT based on their program's expected success for that season, their relevant past, their conference standings, fan base, and geographical location, to name a few criteria. The teams that compete well in the Pre- season WNIT typically go on to finish very strong and advance to postseason play.
Up Next... The winner of tonight's game heads to Newark, Del. to take on the Blue Hens of the University of Delaware Sunday. The loser will have to wait until Nov. 16 to play in the Preseason WNIT Consolation Round in a location to be determined.
