Women's Basketball Takes on Manhattan Monday Night
Setting the Scene... The Pioneers enter Monday's game against Manhattan on a 10-game winning streak at home in the William H. Pitt Center dating back to January 28, 2012. Sacred Heart is looking for pay back after falling to the Jaspers 62-50 last season. The only other time the Pioneers have hosted Manhattan on November 28, 2009 was the only time they defeated the Jaspers. Manhattan, 2-4 this season, is coming off a close 47-43 win over Oakland last Saturday.
Series Notes... This is only the fifth time Sacred Heart has played the Manhattan Jaspers

SHU Against MAAC... Sacred Heart is 17-22 all-time against MAAC opponents
- The Pioneers went 2-1 last year against the MAAC. They opened the season with a win over
Siena 62-45. Later in the season they topped Saint Peter's 80-55 and fell to Manhattan 62-50.
- The only MAAC teams Sacred Heart has a winning record against are Rider and Saint Peter's
- SHU has faced Manhattan (1-3), Fairfield (5-9), Iona (2-5), Rider (2-0), Saint Peter's (5-4), and
Siena (2-1). They have not played against Canisus, Loyola, Marist or Niagara.
All-Around Game... Ericka Norman flirted with a triple-double last Tuesday against Stony Brook. The junior point guard recorded eight points, while dishing out seven and stealing 10 in the 51-46 loss to the Seawolves. Last season, she recorded her first collegiate double-double at Quinnipiac with 11 assists and 10 steals. She had another one later win the season against Bryant with 12 assists and 11 points. Earlier this season, the Chino Hills, Calif. native posted back-to-back 13-assist performances in the consolation round of the Preseason WNIT, breaking her previous career-high of 12. She currently leads the league, averaging 6.39 assists per game.
Pioneers at Home... Sacred Heart has been extremely successful at home in the William H. Pitt Center. Since the Pitt Center opened in August of 1997, the Pioneers posts an 81.6 winning percentage when at home (174-39). Already this year, SHU is 2-0 at home, beating Saint Peter's and Colgate. They were a perfect 14-0 at home in 2003-04 and against in 2005-06. Last year, the Pioneers only dropped one home game.
