Sacred Heart University basketball will have four games televised during the upcoming 2015-16 season, as the Northeast Conference announced its television package on Thursday.
The Pioneer men will host a nationally televised game versus Mount St. Mary's on Thursday, January 21. The 7 pm tip airs live on CBS Sports Network. Six days later, the men travel to LIU Brooklyn for a game to be carried regionally on MSG and Fox College Sports.
The women make their first appearance on the package as part of a doubleheader with the men on Saturday, February 20 at Fairleigh Dickinson. With ESPN3 as the provider, the women's game is scheduled to tip at 4 pm and will be followed by a 7 pm men's start.
The NEC also set wild card dates for both the men and women, where a selected matchup will air on ESPN 3. The women's wild card date takes place on Monday, February 22, when the women are at Bryant, while the men's date is scheduled three days later when Robert Morris visits the William H. Pitt Center.
Following a 5-26 year in 2013-14, the Sacred Heart men completed last season at 15-17 and 9-9 in NEC play, which were both its most overall and conference wins since the 2008-09 season. The women hosted an NEC Quarterfinal game after finishing fourth in the league with an 11-7 record against conference foes, while going 16-13 overall.
The two teams are set to tip off 2015-16 season in just three weekends. The men open up against Quinnipiac on Friday, November 13 at the Connecticut 6 hosted by Central Connecticut State, while the women will welcome Harford to the Pitt Center two days later on the 15th.
