Kerri Burke joins the coaching staff as a graduate assistant after stellar four-year playing career for the Pioneers. Burke will be involved with all phases of the program with focus on assisting with guard position, film exchange, junior mailing, recruiting and on-court assistance. Burke was a two-time captain for the Pioneers and the team's starting point guard her sophomore through senior seasons... She helped guide the Pioneers to back-to-back regular season Northeast Conference Championships and a trip to the 2006 NCAA Tournament. Her biggest feat came midway through her senior season when she suffered what for most would have been a season-ending knee injury. Burke, however, battled her way back and returned to the starting line-up a month later to lead the Pioneers down the stretch toward another NEC Tournament appearance. The Saugus, Massachusetts native graduated this past spring with a degree in psychology will make her collegiate coaching debut as a member of Head Coach Ed Swanson's staff. Her duties will include film exchange, junior mailings, coaching the guard positions and on-court assistance.
