Two More Pioneer Freshmen Get First Taste of Collegiate Equestrian Competition

Oct. 11, 2009

HUNTINGTON, NY - Katelyn Cleary and Meagan Korolyshun competed in their first intercollegiate horse show with the Sacred Heart Equestrian Team this past weekend.

While both were extremely nervous about the competition, head coach Sloane Milstein reminded them to just focus on the basics since this was their first show. With their nerves alleviated, both wound up placing very high in their classes. Cleary received earned a first-place finish while and Korolyshun placed third.

Another highlight of the day was Sarah Aquilla placing first in Beginners Walk Trot Canter, pointing out and moving up to the advanced section.

The team would like to send a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Aquilla and Mr. and Mrs. Dattoli for catering our events.
