Three Pioneers Named All-Northeast Fencing Conference
FAIRFIELD, CT - Freshman Elena Tringa, senior captain Krista Bacci, and freshman Jayme Smith have been named to the Northeast Fencing Conference All League teams. Tringa was named first team in saber while Bacci was second team in saber and Smith second team in foil.

Krista Bacci wins Saber Championship at New England Championship Tournament
The Pioneer women's fencing team finished the regular season with a sixth place overall finish in a field of fifteen schools at the 2010 New England Fencing Championships Tournament last weekend.

Pioneers drop close match to NYU in Manhattan
The Pioneer women's fencing team traveled to New York on Wednesday to face both Columbia and NYU. Sacred Heart lost to Columbia 19-8 and just fell short against NYU 14-13.

Pioneers go 5-1 to finish the Northeast Fencing Conference season 9-3
The Sacred Heart women's Fencing Team closed out their Northeast Fencing Conference season with an impressive 5-1 record at Tufts on Saturday. They defeated Smith College 22-5, Dartmouth 19-8, Tufts 14-13, UMass 24-3, and Vassar 15-12. The only loss of the day was a 14-13 defeat to Boston College that came down to the final touch in a 4-4 bout.
