Megan Floyd Honored By College Fencing 360 For Performance At Philadelphia Invitational

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Junior epeeist Megan Floyd (Media, Pa.) has been named a Primetime Performer by College Fencing 360 for her performance at last Sunday's Philadelphia Invitational at Penn.

Floyd turned in a 13-2 day at the Philadelphia Invitational while bouting against fencers from #7 Northwestern, host #8 Penn, Duke, North Carolina and Fairleigh Dickinson. She won all three of her bouts against Northwestern, including a 5-4 win over 2012 NCAA entrant Courtney Dumas. Floyd also had two of her team's seven wins vs. host Penn, including a 5-1 bout against 2013 NCAA Regional entrant Srey Beaulac. Her three wins over North Carolina proved pivotal, boosting the Pioneer women's team to the 14-13 win.

Sacred Heart is back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 5 when the Pioneers travel to New York City to face Columbia and NYU.
