Sacred Heart had three fencers qualify for the NCAA Championship that will be held next week at Brandeis University. Romain Cannone qualified in epee, Tyler Endee in foil and Julia Greene in saber.

Greene and McCarter Make Final Round at NCAA Regional
The Sacred Heart women’s fencing team sent eight fencers to the NCAA Northeast Regional Competion on Sunday at Vassar. Junior saber fencer Julia Greene and senior foilist CJ McCarter both advanced to the Championship round of 12 where they both placed 12th.

Julia Greene Leads Pioneers to 2-3 Day at Philadelphia Invitational
The Sacred Heart women’s fencing team travelled to the David Michanik Fencing Center at the University of Pennsylvania on Sunday to compete in the Philadelphia Invitational. Sacred Heart defeated Johns Hopkins 18-9 and Haverford 17-10 but fell to Duke 16-11, Northwestern 21-6 and Penn 17-10.

Freshmen Lead Women’s Fencing To Wins Over Vassar and NYU at Tradition Tournament
The Sacred Heart fencing teams hosted the 2015 Tradition Tournament on Sunday at the Pitt Center. The women’s team posted victories over Vassar (18-9) and NYU (18-9) but fell to Princeton 20-7, Harvard 22-5, Penn State 18-9 and Temple 18-9.

Women’s Fencing Goes 5-2 at Vassar Invitational
Sacred Heart kicked off its dual meet season with a 5-2 day at the Vassar Invitational on Sunday. The Pioneers defeated Hunter 20-7, Stevens Tech 16-11, Yeshiva 26-1, CCNY 19-8 and FDU 21-6 while dropping matches to Cornell 21-6 and Northwestern 19-8.
