PRINCETON, N.J. - The Sacred Heart University women's golf team concluded the Princeton Invitational in ninth place out of 12 this afternoon. The Pioneers registered a team total of 959 on the 6,131-yard, par-72 Springdale Golf Club.
Junior Carly Bergin (Binghamton, N.Y.) posted the best two-day score for the Red & White with a 231 to finish in a tie for 20th overall. She shot a 78 in the first and third rounds with a 75 sandwiched in between.
Sophomore Gabriella Riber (Stockholm, Sweden) followed up her two scores of 76 from yesterday with an 81 in the final round. She closed the weekend with a total of 233 to earn a tie for 29th.
Freshman Jennifer Clinton shot an 81 this afternoon to total a 248 for the weekend. Junior Michelle Riber (Stockholm, Sweden) booked and 86 to total 251, while senior Kelsey Shine (Southborough, Mass.) recorded a 97 to put her at 274 for the weekend.
Yale finished in first with a three-round total of 896, while the host Tigers finished three strokes back to place second at 899.
