Fairfield—The Sacred Heart Women's Golf Team participated in the Richmond Spider Invitational in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Pioneers placed seventh in the tournament field with three round scores of 319, 305 and 309.
Junior Gabriella Riber finished tied for 16th overall, leading the Pioneers. Riber shot 81, 74 and 77. Claire McGovern tied for 21st place tallied scores of 78, 77 and 79. Senior Carly Bergin penciled in scores of 79, 82, 75 to place 25th. Sophomore Jennifer Clinton tied for 28th place with scores of 81, 79 and 78. Michelle Riber rounder out the Sacred Heart Team with 82, 75 and 87.
St. John's University finished first with a total score of 911. Brown's Stephanie Hsieh finished one under par to place first in individual stake the individual title with a 215 total (70, 74, and 71.)
The Pioneer women hit the course again Friday in Piscataway, NJ at Rutgets Golf Course for the Rutgers Invitational.
