Women's Golf Finishes Third at ECAC Division I Championship

(Egg Harbor Township, NJ) – The Sacred Heart University Women's Golf team finished third out of 11 teams this weekend at the ECAC Division I Championship in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.  Malin Wallheede (Molnlycke, Sweeden) finished tied for third out of 54 qualifiers, shooting 152 through the two rounds. 

Gabi Riber (Stockholm, Sweeden) finished 18th with a 160, followed by Bri Carnahan (Port Jefferson, NY) coming in 19th with a 161.  Jenn Clinton (Sayville, NY) shot a 164 for a 24th place tie.

The Pioneers finished first among the four NEC schools (FDU, Quinnipiac, and Mount St. Mary's) competing and second among the three schools from Connecticut (Hartford and Quinnipiac).

The Women's Golf team will next compete at the Rutgers Invitational Oct. 5-6.
