Final Results

PISCATAWAY, NJ (October 7, 2012) - The Sacred Heart women's golf team finished 15th in a field of 21 teams at the 2012 Rutgers Invitational played over the weekend at the Rutgers University Golf Course.  The Pioneers finished with a team score of 661 on the par 72, 6,034 yard course.

SHU came back strong during Saturday's final round, taking 27 strokes off their round one score.  A pair of Pioneers tied for 34th overall at the event in freshman Malin Wallhede (MoInlycke, Sweden) and junior Jennifer Clinton (Sayville, NY).

Wallhede posted a two-round total of 160, shooting 85 on Friday and 75 during Saturday's final round.  Clinton also carded a 160 two-day score with an 84 on Friday and 76 on Saturday.  Senior Gabriella Riber (Stockholm, Sweden) was tied for 64th with a two-round total of 166 (83-83).

The Pioneers will be back on the links when they close out the fall season hosting the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on October 21st and 22nd.
