Women’s Golf Competes at Yale Women’s Fall Intercollegiate
NEW HAVEN, CONN. – The Sacred Heart women's golf team competed in the Yale Women's Fall Intercollegiate this past weekend at The Course at Yale. The Pioneers finished the three-day tournament 17th in the team competition.
Senior Jennifer Clinton (Sayville, N.Y.) was the Pioneers' top finisher individually, placing tied for 61st with a three-round score of 242. Clinton had scores of 80 in the first two rounds on the par-71 course. She finished the tournament with a final round 82 on Sunday. Freshman Ellen Nighbor (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) finished tied for 66th, posting a low round of 80 on Saturday that was bookended by two rounds of 83. Stephanie Lowe (Cedar Park, Texas) tied Clinton with a low round of 80 on Friday, finishing 74th in the tournament. After posting a 90 on Friday, Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass.) carded an 84 on Saturday and finished tied for 81st.
The Pioneers return to action on Oct. 7 for the first round of the St. John's Women's Invitational.
