Sept. 20, 2009
HANOVER, NH - Freshman Gabriella Riber (Stockholm, Sweden) fired rounds of 76 and 77 to finish in a fourth-place tie in the overall medalist race, but the rest of the Pioneer lineup had trouble recovering from a rough opening round as the Sacred Heart women's golf team finished 15th out of 20 teams in the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend.
SHU finished with a two-round total of 677. Towson won the event at 625, followed by Boston College at 627 and Brown at 631.
Gabriella's sister, Michelle, was the next lowest SHU finisher with back-to-back rounds of 85.
The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday at the Yale Invitational.
