Women's Ice Hockey Downed by Brown 10-0

(Providence, RI) – Katelyn Landry registered a hat trick and Emily Dolan and Laurie Jolin both scored twice to pace the Brown Bears to a 10-0 win over the Sacred Heart Women's Ice Hockey team Saturday afternoon.

Landry scored even strength goals at 3:39 and 7:23 of the first period to open the scoring, with assists on both goals by Janice Yang.  Jolin made it 3-0 at 9:24, followed by Skyelar Siwak 26 seconds later to give Brown a 4-0 lead after one period.

Jessica Hoyle scored the first of three special teams goals in the second for Brown, making it 5-0 Bears on the power play at 4:06.  After Alena Polenska added another at 10:02, Landry and Dolan both registered short-handed goals 23 seconds apart, beginning at 14:34.

Dolan scored again at 14:55 of the third, and Jolin closed out the Brown scoring with 1:01 left.

Sacred Heart is next in action in their home opener at the Wonderland of Ice on Saturday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m when the Pioneers host St. Anslem.
