Pioneer Women's Lacrosse Falls in NCAA Play-In Game to Navy
ANNAPOLIS, MD (May 8, 2010) – The Sacred Heart University women’s lacrosse team fell to the United State Naval Academy, 12-2, in the NCAA Play-In Game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped a school-record long 12 game win streak.

Sacred Heart and Navy Square Off for NCAA Bid
The Sacred Heart Pioneers are coming off their third-straight Northeast Conference Championship as they take on the Patriot League Champion Navy Midshipmen in the NCAA Play-In Game Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers hosted NEC Tournament for the second-straight season and beat Mount St. Mary's, 14-5, and Quinnipiac, 12-7, to claim their third-consecutive league title. Navy won their first Patriot League title by defeating Colgate 15-10 and host Lehigh, 11-9 last weekend. The Pioneers enter Saturday's match-up riding a school record 12-game winning streak.

Pioneers Will Face Navy in NCAA Play-In Game
The Sacred Heart Pioneers will travel to Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday, May 8th to take on Patriot League Champion Navy in the 2010 NCAA Play-In Game. The three-time Northeast Conference Champion Pioneers and Midshipmen will face-off at 2:00 pm at Marine Corps Memorial Stadium with a berth in the 2010 NCAA Tournament going to the winner.
