The 2010 Sacred Heart women's lacrosse team earned Academic Squad honors awarded by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The Pioneers were one of 52 teams honored by the IWLCA for their academic achievement in 2010.
Sacred Heart was one of four Northeast Conference school recognized for having a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Robert Morris, Quinnipiac and Wagner were also recognized.
The IWLCA recognized three schools for earning Merit Squad status by virtue of having one of the top three team GPAs for the season. Hofstra University toped all schools in Division I for the 2010 season with a 3.492 GPA, while Stanford University (3.477) just edged Duke (3.471) to rank second.
