The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team had three representatives named to the All-Northeast Conference Second Team Wednesday night. Seniors Dominique Anselmin and Alyssa Pearce and sophomore Elizabeth Small were recognized by the leagues head coaches.
Pearce tallied 37 points on the year, tied for the team lead, as she scored 21 times. She handed out a team-best 16 assists during her final season. Pearce also added nine ground balls, caused two turnovers and was 4-8 on her 8-meter chances.
Anselmin started all 16 games on defense for the Pioneers, often marking the opponents top offensive threat. She was a force at the draw, collecting a team-best 55. Anselmin added 17 ground balls and caused 17 turnovers during the campaign. On the offensive end, she had a goal and an assist for two points.
Small started each of the 15 games in which she appeared, as part of the Pioneers defensive unit. She finished with a team-best 28 caused turnovers, while also picking up 26 ground balls. Small also added 35 draw controls on the year.
