Rowing Team Shows Strong at MAAC Championships

FAIRFIELD, CT - The Sacred Heart women's rowing team competed in the annual MAAC Championships last weekend and placed sixth out of seven schools. The best result for the Pioneers came in the Lightweight 4 event where the boat placed second, winning a silver medal.

"This result was a confidence booster for our young squad who gained valuable experience competeing at a championship regatta against some tough competition," said head coach Michael Kerner.

The team looks to build off this experience in the coming weeks it plans for the end of the year championships, the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, PA on May 7th and 8th.
