Fairfield, CT—At their last home game on Sept. 25, the Sacred Heart Women’s Soccer Team raised over $500 for Goal4theGoal. The foundation raises awareness and support for pediatric cancer patients, their families, pediatric oncology hospital units and innovative childhood cancer research in labs across the country.
In the days leading up to the game, members of the team collected donations for Go4theGoal and have been wearing the foundation’s “Be Fearless” t-shirts before games to raise awareness.
“It’s a cause that is very important to us,” says Head Coach Kim Banner. “As a mother, this is very near and dear to my heart.”
