It is the Pioneers third 2-1 win this season, and also it’s ninth game decided by just one goal. SHU improves their conference record to 2-2 this season.

Wagner’s Samantha Jensen put together her first career hat trick to lead the Seahawks past Sacred Heart. The Pioneers fall to 3-7 on the season and 0-1 in the conference.

    Easton, PA – The Lafayette Leopards scored two goals within the first 11 minutes, including just 33 seconds into the game, on their way to a 3-2 victory over Sacred Heart Sunday afternoon at Oaks Stadium in Easton, Pennsylvania. SHU and Lafayette managed to score all five goals in the first half with Lafayette keeping SHU off the board in the second half to preserve the victory. The Pioneers are now 1-3 on the season, while Lafayette improves to 2-0.

The leading point scorer of a year ago, Verrette, could not find a better time to score her first goal of the season. SHU improves to 1-2 this year.

  • Women's Soccer Picked to Finish Third in the NEC

    Fairfield, CT – Head Coach Kim Banner and the Sacred Heart women’s soccer team have been selected to finish third in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Saint Francis University sits atop the preseason poll for the third straight season, while the two-time defending champion, LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds, come in at the number two spot. SHU received one first place vote.
