KEY LARGO, Fla. - The Sacred Heart University is using the final week of it's winter break to escape the snow covered Northeast and train outdoors in Key Largo, Fla. Head coach Richard Ludemann and his Pioneers arrived in the "Sunshine State" on January 8 and will return to campus on January 17.
"We just got here and the weather is perfect to train outdoors. We are looking forward to a great training weekend," Ludemann said on Saturday.
The Pioneers dive back into action when they travel to Northeast Conference rival Bryant on January 19. The NEC Championship will be held at MIT February 17-19.
Senior co-captain, and defending NEC 200-fly champion, Katie Marshall (Cumberland, R.I.) returns to the pool as the reigning NEC Swimmer of the Week for the week ending December 13.
