Pioneers Lose Dual Meet to C.W. Post 121-107

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. (October 2, 2013)—The Sacred Heart swim team lost to C.W. Post 121-107 in a dual meet this past weekend. The Pioneers took home four individual first place finishes. Malvina Reinhold (Gothenburg, Sweden) Jillian Crosby (Port Monmouth, N.J.), Elizabeth Bennett (Fairbanks, Alaska) and Siobhan Goodman (Ridgewood, N.J.) took first place in their respective races. Crosby also took second in the 200 yard Freestyle.

The Pioneers took first and second place in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay. The team of Crosby, Caleigh Dion (Dunstable, Mass.), Alyssa Farnsworth (Leominster, Mass.) and Olivia Decas (Mattaposiett, Mass.) swam the race in 1:43.05 for first, while Julia Pedersen (Washington Township, N.J.), Amy Nunes (Seekonk, Mass.), Meredith Nyser (Barrington, R.I.) and Goodman finished second in 1:53.65.

Other notable finishes were: Nunes taking second in the 500 yard Freestyle, Nyser finishing third in the 1650 yard Fresstyle and second in the 100 yard Backstroke, Bennett taking third in the 200 yard Backstroke, Reinhold finishing third in the 100 yard Breaststroke, Kristina Dy (Matawan, N.J.) and Pedersen finishing second and third in the 200 yard Breaststroke, Goodman and Bennett finishing second and third in the 200 yard Butterfly and Kristen Pepitone (Oakhurst, N.J.) taking second in the 200 yard IM.
