PRINCETON, N.J. – The Sacred Heart track and field teams had three top-10 finishes through the first two days of the ECAC/IC4A Championships at Princeton.
The women's track team had two of the three top-10s Friday night. Senior Brianna Castrogivanni finished seventh in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:29.21. Elizabeth Hutchins ran a 36:04.41 in the 10,000 meters to finish seventh as well. On Saturday, Nicole Bartosch wrapped up the heptathlon with 4,715 points to place ninth. Bartosch tied for the top time in the 200 meters (25.04) on Friday while placing third in the long jump and fifth in the 800 meters. Thowers Kolbi Smith and Mareena DiMilia each placed in the top-15 in the hammer throw Saturday. Smith finished 11th with a throw of 173'3" as DiMilia had a 13th-place showing with a throw of 172'4".
Drayke Jackson finished the decathlon on Saturday in sixth place with 6,130 points. He placed second in both the 110 meter hurdles and 1500 meters on Saturday. Philip Miccio had a throw of 169'2" in the hammer throw while Marc Troiani had a throw of 144'8" in the discus.
The meet concludes on Sunday.
