(Fairfield, CT) - Brittany Lane and Jeremy Rosado were both honored as Northeast Conference Women's and Men's Track Athletes of the Week for their performances in the CTC Indoor Relays at Yale University this past weekend, announced Tuesday afternoon by the NEC.
Lane won the 5000-Meter to lead the SHU Women to a 15th consecutive team title at the CTC Relay Carnival with a time of 17:31.67. In doing so, she also took an early NEC leading time set a personal best by 20 seconds, and most importantly, qualified for the ECAC Championships in March.
Rosado producedthe fastest 60-meter hurdles time in the league on opening weekend with a first place time of 8.22s. With his victory, he qualified for the IC4A Championship in March as well.
