Jayce Jones, who has been a part of four national championships at SHU, began her coaching career as a graduate assistant (2020-21) before becoming a part-time assistant in 2021.
 
Jayce graduated from SHU with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies in 2020. She went on to earn a Master of Elementary Education from SHU in 2021.
 
She was a member of the Sacred Heart competitive cheerleading team for four years, serving as team captain during her junior and senior years. She competed in the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) Nationals, helping the Pioneers win their first national championship at the 2020 event.
 
As assistant coach of the Pioneers, Jayce helped lead the Pioneers to three national championships during the 2021, 2022, and 2023 competitions.
 
She is currently employed at Geraldine Johnson School in Bridgeport, Conn., as a third-grade teacher.
