Josh Smith was named an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Sacred Heart in January 2023.
Prior to joining SHU, Smith served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Albertus Magnus College in nearby New Haven, Conn., for over three years. With the Falcons, he assisted in coverage of the college’s 15 sports. Smith was brought to Albertus to begin the communication efforts for the Albertus men’s ice hockey program, which started varsity play in his first year in 2019.
Smith’s professional stops also include Washington & Jefferson College and Elmira College. At both institutions, he assisted in coverage of multiple sports, which included website maintenance and gameday coverage.
Smith has a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Alvernia University and a master’s in general management from Elmira.
