The Pioneers, who only had on runner reach second, are now 1-11. The Blue Hens, led by J. Giacchino 4-6 day, totaled 14 hits of their own. A. Davis pitched eight scoreless scattering those three hits to move one game over .500 at 5-4.
Both teams each had one runner reach second in the first two innings but could not manage to drive them in. The Blue Hens put the game away with two runs each in the sixth and seventh.
